Everything That Caught My Attention.

Things That Caught My Attention: a newsletter about the internet and life by Dan Hon, since January 2014, with over 2,800 subscribers.

The newsletter covers everything and anything that software touches: artificial intelligence, internet of things, the ethics of technology and software, government technology, design, community management, content moderation, social networks, platforms, and at times, a very long running chapter-by-chapter critical breakdown of Neal Stephenson's Snow Crash.

But I don't just write about technology: I write about technology from a personal perspective. I write about technology as someone with adult ADHD and I write about it as someone who lives with mental health issues. I write about what it's like to be a father, and what it's like to be an immigrant in America, raising a family.

It's a long-running newsletter, too. Since January 2014, that's 655 episodes, 1,282,833 words and 7,039 links across 1,583 concepts, organizations, people, and media.

Paid supporters and subscribers now get a free copy of Things That Caught My Attention, Volume 1, an ebook collecting the best essays from the first fifty episodes.
